My Kenwood deck in my car allows me to plug in a usb and I use it with my Ipod all the time. I plugged in my Incredible and loaded it as a disc drive and I was able to access the music on my SD card, but I can't figure out a way to have it play Pandora radio through my speakers. Does anyone have any experience with this or know a way to do it? I've heard you can do it through an FM transmitter but I'd rather not go that route.

BTW, my stereo is an Kenwood Excelon KDC-X693 (without Bluetooth)

I know you said you would prefer not to do the fm transmitter but wanted to mention this.
http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-MotoRokr-T505-Bluetooth-Speaker/dp/B000WTM552/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1280806097&sr=8-1-fkmr0

I use it with my Incredible and it sounds better than any fm tranmitter I've used before.  It you enter an area where you start hearing static, you press a button and it will change stations automatically and tell you what station to change your radio to.  I use it for my Pandora Radio, A-Online Music and mp3's loaded onto my phone and it works great.  It also has the added advantage of being a handsfree set.  when someone calls it broadcasts their end of the conversation through the car speakers.  If you are listening to music on the Incredible when someone calls it cuts in to let you know someone is calling and gives you the option of answering or continuing the music.  It's pretty cool.

Ok so I think I figured it out. Here's what it says on the Pandora website:

"If your car stereo has an option for AUX input, you'll need an audio cable with a 1/8" (3.5mm) plug on both ends in order to connect the headphone port on your phone to the AUX input jack on your car stereo. You can then listen to Pandora on your phone when your car stereo is in AUX mode."

Since I can only plug usb in my car stereo, I looked around a bit and found this little connector piece on amazon for $5 http://www.amazon.com/3-5mm-Female-Stereo-Microphone-Adapter/dp/B0032AEF42/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=musical-instruments&qid=1280831820&sr=8-2

so I'm thinking that if I connect a 3.5mm jack from my phone to that connector piece, I should be able to plug the usb end into my stereo.... Cheesy  I'm going to try it, hopefully it works! I'll let you know how it goes, just incase anyone else is having the same problem.

Did that work for you? I have the same issue, but when I plug into my Alpine deck USB port, the phone says I can't play music with the USB plugged in. I tried disk drive mode, charger only, and usb debugging on and off, but no luck. What did you do to play music over USB?
