I have the factory battery and this things is HORRIBLE.  The ONLY thing I have running is Blu-Tooth so I can use the phone in my truck.  Last week I got for 4 days out of it, ran the battery down and then recharged it.  After that I was lucky to get an 8 hour day out of it.  My phone has been on for 3 hours and it's at 70%.
What can be done to get better (and more consistant) battery life besides getting a bigger battery.

I swear I've spent more time reading about this battery issue than I have actually used my phone.  I ordered the Verizon extended life battery. It'll be here in 2 days.  And from reading other forums, I have flipped my SIM card so the phone only works on CDMA instead of global and I have removed Weather Bug (for now) too.  Although I had a Windows phone prior and Weather Bug was NEVER an issue.

My new battery - Droid 2,150mAh works really nice.  Fully charged, it has been on 14-16 hours per day for the last 3 days.  Checking email every 5 minutes, watching some YouTube vidoes, a dozen or so texts per day, 5-6 phone calls per day, etc.

I'm very happy with this new battery.

I know it uses lots of power but it doesn't seem to be a problem to me.
