My phone keeps telling me this in my notification bar and its bugging the crap out of me. My intenal phone storage has over 6gb free and my SD card has 1.3 gb free.

The notification will not go away, I have tried rebooting my phone.

I can't not stand it, its just one of my things, but it makes me want to not use my phone. OCD i guess.

Anyway, PLEASE tell me why it is doing this

That is a know problem but not sure what is actually triggering it

Try going to settings > applications> manage applications. via the menu sort it by size and clear the cache of the biggest ones and see if that helps.

I've had that prob twice and tried every"fix"i could find here. Ended up doing a factory reset twice. Now I have a new phone for an unrelated reason. If it happens again, one thing I will try is reformatting the the internal phone storage right after the reset.

i am also having the same  issue. according to "sd and storage" folder
sd card: total space 7.39gb/ available space 2.77gb
internal phone storage: 6.60gb/ available space 5.75gb
phone memory: total space 748mb/ available space 497mb
i did try erasing apps from the "manage apps" folder, restarting and taking out the battery.
is there a fix for this yet???

i got this message over the weekend and it took awhile to figure out how to clear it. i started by moving apps over to the sd card but that didn't fix it. so i started clearing the data out of individual apps until the message was removed. my suggestion is to go to settings -> applications -> manage applications and then click on individual apps and clear the data within the app. once i did this for several apps i no longer had any issues.
