Well I just got off the phone with the Verizon Tech and he says, Google just finished and released the 2.2 update for the Incredible last week, the problem is that it has to be tested, so this means we will not get it until late August or early September.    Roll Eyes

after talking to the tech I just found this

HTC DROID Incredible to be updated to Froyo end of July, early August
by Andrew Munchbach on July 19th, 2010 at 12:50pm
Filed under: AT&T, Android, BlackBerry, Exclusives, GSM, HTC, Mobile, Software, Verizon 111 Comments

We just received a juicy tip about the HTC DROID Incredible software update schedule that we’d like to share. One of our strategically placed Ninjas was kind enough to pass along an email from HTC that read as follows:
I wanted to pass along that the upcoming Incredible MR will also include Froyo (originally it was going to be two separate MRs).
We are targeting the end of the month/first part of August. As a reminder, below are the highlights:
■Froyo
■802.11 n
■3G Mobile Hot Spot
■HTC Widget: Email
■HTC Widget: News
■EAS Updates
■720p Video Recording
■Amazon MP3
■Skype
■My Verizon
Obviously, the news here is that the Incredible update that began rolling out this weekend will — in all likelihood — be halted, and a sexier, Froyo-inclusive update will be pushed out in the coming weeks. The update will also include 802.11n Wi-Fi support, 3G Mobile Hot Spot, 720p video recording, and more. Not bad news for Incredible owners. What do you think? Is Android 2.2 worth an extra few weeks of waiting?

Do you think the update will stop the rebooting issue, and the battery heating up if you use the incredible for more then 20 minutes?

I was in the Verizon store today and the tech working on my phone told me that he received an email stating that 2.2 will start tomorrow.  It will be sent to 1,000 phone tomorrow and then the few days wait time to see if there are any issues and then daily until all the phones are updated.  I know, I know, we've heard this all before but that's what I was told today.  This is from the Verizon store located in Pittsburgh, PA (McKnight Road store).

Yea, I had the Eris before this phone and was promised the world.  Didn't happen.  Loved the Eris and love this one even more.  Much faster.  Don't love the lies.

Since I updated to 2.2 I can't get my exchange to work. Can't send or receive my corporate email. Had no issue before upgrade. Sad

Got the update this morning. Hoping and praying it would fix the reboot issue, guess what..no such luck. after installing started re-booting immediately, kinda real sick of this!

Upgraded to 2.2 this morning.  I have 8 apps that just keep restarting with no input from me.  I forced closed the apps that concerned me and it seems to be working for now.

I had been having the reboot issue myself.  It occurred to me that it happened in the same neighborhood every time.  It makes me wonder if it could be a tower issue.

I traveled out west for weeks and never had a reboot issue - not even in the desert!  I even received calls and texts 1.5 miles down into the south side of the Grand Canyon.  I did observe that all of my personalized ringtones became the standard 70's Ma Bell ring in the desert.  weird.
